Pan Seared Pork Chops & Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients  

1-1 1/2 pounds center cut boneless pork chops  

1/2 cup bacon fat  

1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms  

1/2 cup onion diced  

1 cup chicken broth  

1/4 cup heavy cream  

1/2 tablespoon thyme  

garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste  

 

Directions 

In heavy skillet over medium heat add bacon fat. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place pork chops in fat and brown in both sides for about 5-6 minutes on each side. Remove from heat. In same pan add onions and mushrooms add a little salt, sauté until softened and lightly browned. Add chicken broth, cream, and thyme, adjust seasoning to taste, alow to simmer until liquid is reduced and thickened.  

This is great with cauliflower mash and veggies!
